The Route of Soaserra to the Monastery of Caaveiro is a circular route that allows you to enter the heart of the Eume Fraga, one of the most ecological value forests in Galicia. 

The tour begins in Soaserra and enters a path that runs next to the riverbank of the Eume River, providing spectacular views of this natural environment and a sense of unique serenity. Along the way, visitors enjoy the abundant biodiversity that characterizes the area, highlighting a mixture of native vegetation, with centenary trees and a diverse fauna that makes this path an immersive experience. The Caaveiro monastery: a peace and culture shelter

The journey culminates in the Monastery of Caaveiro, one of the most significant architectural jewels of the Eume region. Founded in the ninth century, this monastery stands in an impressive natural enclave, which gives it a unique atmosphere of peace and spirituality.

Throughout the approximately 10 kilometers of path, the walkers can enjoy the natural and cultural wonders of the region, without hurry.

This tour is perfect throughout the year. In spring and autumn, the forest is filled with vibrant colors and fresh aromas, while in summer, the freshness of the fraga and the river breeze offer a relief in the hottest days. During winter, the calm of the snowy landscape (if it occurs) and the tranquility of the monastery create a serene and magical atmosphere.
