An accessible path to discover the magic of the Eume

The Do Eume route is one of the most accessible routes to enter the impressive Das Fragas do Eume Natural Park.

Throughout its route, the road follows the channel of the Eume River, where the sound of water and the song of the birds create a unique natural soundtrack. This vibrant path offers corners full of life, from small streams to dense riverside forests.

History and nature in perfect harmony.

When the road narrows, we approach one of the most emblematic points of the tour: the Caaveiro monastery, a monumental set of obligatory visit that rises on a rocky promontory, offering a privileged panorama of the park. From here, we descend to the Santa Cristina bridge, where the Eume river, authentic backbone of the park, guides us on our return journey.

The riverside forest and water flow.

Following the left margin of the river, we go into the depths of the forest, an environment of great freshness and biodiversity, where straightenings, ash and sauces are intertwined on the banks creating a magical and grim atmosphere. Each drop of water that flows between rapids, pools and rocks seems to throb with life, turning the way into a natural show in constant movement.

The minicentral of or parish.

At the mouth of the San Bartolomé River, we find the O or Parrot Floreal Minicentral, prelude to the historic Central of Ventureira, which receives the water from the Eume reservoir. This point marks the closure of a route where nature and human legacy live in balance.
